Patrick Liddell [ontologist] is a music composer and video artist currently living in Oakland, CA. He has received his doctorate in music composition from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. His dissertation discussed his use of postmodern ideas as a compositional tool; his music and video art is a postmodern blend of all styles and genres.

His 5th studio album, “Cantor’s Comb”, was released in February 2021 on Canzona Records. Along with his solo work, he also plays with a number of groups in the SF Bay Area, including Sari Raras (UC Berkeley), Gamelan Encinal (Mills College), Punamasari (Berkeley), and Steady Eddy And The Shakers (SF).
